Manual Therapy is a modern specialisation in physiotherapy that is recognised for its fast therapeutic effects. This method uses hands-on evidence based techniques that are applied on the bones, joints, muscles, nerves and tendons. These techniques are combined with therapeutic exercises or other rehabilitation methods, to reduce pain, muscle spasm, and inflammation, improve joint mobility and body function.
Other techniques (electrotherapy/physical modalities), are sometimes used by physiotherapists to provide short-term pain relief. However, there isn't much scientific evidence to support their effectiveness. Thus, Physiotime is a specialist Manual Therapy clinic, focusing on individualised rehabilitation programmes in order to manage a range of conditions in only few sessions.
